‘Love & Friendship’ heading to Sundance Film Festival

Whit Stillman’s upcoming period drama Love & Friendship starring Kate Beckinsale and Chloë Sevigny will be premiering at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival in January. A new promotional still from the film has been released as well.

Love & Friendship / Ireland, France, Netherlands (Director and screenwriter: Whit Stillman) — From Jane Austen’s novella, the beautiful and cunning Lady Susan Vernon visits the estate of her in-laws to wait out colorful rumors of her dalliances and to find husbands for herself and her daughter. Two young men, handsome Reginald DeCourcy and wealthy Sir James Martin, severely complicate her plans. Cast: Kate Beckinsale, Chloë Sevigny, Xavier Samuel, Emma Greenwell, Tom Bennett, Stephen Fry. World Premiere

As many of you will remember, Sevigny, Stillman and Beckinsale previously collaborated on the cult classic Last Days of Disco in 1998. More recently, Chloë also appeared in Stillman’s Amazon pilot The Cosmopolitans in 2014, the fate of which is still pending an update from Amazon.

Chloë will be well-represented at Sundance this year, as it was announced three weeks ago that Danny Perez’s indie horror Antibirth would also be screening at the festival as part of its “Midnight” line-up.

The 2016 Sundance Film Festival runs January 21st through 31st in Park City, Utah. For information on how to attend and tickets, please visit www.sundance.org.
