More casting news! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chloë Sevigny has joined the cast of the Linda Lovelace biopic Lovelace. Big Love‘s Amanda Seyfried appears in the title role. More from THR:

Chloë Sevigny has joined the cast of Lovelace, the biopic of one of the most famous adult film actresses of all time, Linda Lovelace. The casting comes a day after Demi Moore dropped out of the film due to her “seeking professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health,” according to her reps.

Lovelace sees Amanda Seyfried as the woman who starred in one of the most famous pornographic movies of all time, Deep Throat. The ensemble cast includes Peter Sarsgaard, Hank Azaria, Adam Brody, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Sharon Stone, Juno Temple, Debi Mazar, Wes Bentley, Romeo Brown, Robert Patrick, Eric Roberts. James Franco is making a cameo as Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.

Sevigny will play a feminist journalist on freelance assignment for a men’s magazine to find out who the real Linda Lovelace is. The production began shooting in Los Angeles on December 20, 2011 with Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman behind the camera.

That’s another terrific production in the bag. Congrats, Chloë! :D

The Hollywood Reporter reports from Sundance Film Festival that Chloë Sevigny and Mark Webber (Broken Flowers, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) are attached to star in the upcoming indie drama Panarea from director Adam Bhala Lough and producer Jim Jarmusch. More from THR:

Mark Webber and Chloe Sevigny are attached to star in director Adam Bhala Lough’s indie drama Panarea. Jim Jarmusch is executive producing. The film follows a young married couple with intimacy issues who find themselves vacationing on an exotic Italian island where their commitment will be tested.

The script was written by Adam Mansbach, author of the New York Times bestseller Go the F*ck to Sleep. Panarea will go into production this summer. Mangusta Productions’ Sol Tryon and Giancarlo Canavesio, and Mike S. Ryan are producing.

In Panarea, Webber will play Paul, an American struggling with what it means to be a man. His wife, Linnea, is played by Sevigny.

This is great news! It’s been a while since we had any feature film news. Congrats on the new role, Chloë! :)

Check out these new images of Chloë Sevigny in a spectacular(!!!) editorial in the upcoming February 2012 issue of Interview magazine, as photographed by Craig McDean. Chloë was interviewed for the magazine by her longtime friend, Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon, with whom she talked especially (and candidly) about her experience working on Hit and Miss last summer.

We’ll of course be obtaining scans from this issue for you, but in the mean time check out a preview of the feature in our gallery. (The interview is currently missing the last page, but we’ll try and find it for you.)

A bit of news from Manchester: Chloë Sevigny was photographed at the Life and Death of Marina Abramović Opening Night After Party in Salford, UK on July 9. A pic of a very much brunette Chloë at the event with Marco Brambilla and Tino Seghai has been uploaded to the gallery, thanks to artnet.

Sweet lady also sent us a note via email that Chloë was spotted at the “Off with Their Heads” Clubnight at Islington Mill in Salford last Friday:

She came to the night as she said she is a big fan of the artist David Medalla who was taking part in the event.

She looked around the various exhibition in the Mill and watched bands Organ Freeman, Bonjay and Ting Tings then stayed chatting with people and dancing until the small hours.

Chloë is currently filming the six-part miniseries Hit and Miss in Manchester, UK. If you spot her filming somewhere in the area or just generally out and about, please drop us a line at contact[@]chloe-sevigny.org! Thank you.

New images from the UK! Check out these new photos of Chloë Sevigny filming Sky Atlantic’s upcoming six-part miniseries Hit and Miss in Manchester, UK on July 7 and July 8. Chloë is headlining the series as the pre-op transsexual contract killer Mia.

Excitingly, Chloë seems to be sporting a new brunette look for the show! Although her braided look from June 27 looked like it could’ve been a wig, judging from these new pictures she seems to have actually dyed her hair brown (although how much her hair can have grown since sporting a noticeably shorter crop less than a month ago in Greece we’re not sure — perhaps she’s wearing extensions?). Either way, the new hair looks terrific on her; hopefully, we’ll get to see it on the red carpet as well!

Check out this cute video interview with Chloë Sevigny from last year’s SxSW Festival which we apparently missed at the time, in which Chloë talks about her work in the films Mr. Nice and Barry Munday, both of which had their world premiere at the festival.

Don’t forget Mr. Nice will be premiering in select U.S. theaters tomorrow!

Sounds like Chloë has another miniseries in the works! According to Ology and BlackBookMag.com‘s recent interviews with Chloë Sevigny, Chloë will soon be heading over to the UK to appear as a “pre-op male-to-female tranny assassin” in a new miniseries. The relevant quotations from BBM.com and Ology respectively:

I’m working on a southern Irish accent at the moment for a miniseries I’m about to begin filming.

Can you tell me about it?
It’s a British production for Sky Atlantic, and I’m playing a pre-op male-to-female tranny assassin. It’s very realistic. It’s being created by a lot of the people who were involved in the original Skins, so it’s going to be very edgy.

Wow. You’ve done quite a few projects with trans content: Candy Darling, Boy’s Don’t Cry
Party Monster, If These Walls Could Talk 2. But I feel this will be my most feminine, most glamorous role to date. I hope that I have enough gay stripes that I won’t get totally attacked. It was the creators’ idea not to hire a boy to play the part, and of course as an actor you’re going to jump on that. I’m going to try to play it as beautiful and as feminine and as glamorous as I can — not like Transamerica.

WHAT’S NEXT?
I’m going to England to do a miniseries. I don’t think it’s been announced yet, so I’m not supposed to talk about it. I will be playing a pre-op male to female tranny assassin. It’s f*ckin’ awesome, but there’s an accent.

Ahoy, America! According to Ology.com, Bernard Rose’s crime dramedy and Howard Marks-biopic Mr. Nice, which premiered in the UK last October, will be premiering in the U.S. this Friday, June 3rd. Chloë Sevigny appears in the film as Judy Marks opposite Rhys Ifans and David Thewlis. Be sure to check out if it’s playing in your area!

Chloë has also recently given a couple of new interviews promoting the film. Select quotations regarding the film from BlackBookMag.com

Have you read Judy’s blog?
No, I’m not really into the internet.

She says lovely things about you on it.
We didn’t meet until after I finished shooting the film, but we ended up bonding in Spain. I think Bernard [Rose, the film’s director] didn’t want me to become friendly with her because he didn’t want it to color my performance. He didn’t want me to become more sympathetic to her and to her children, even though I’d read all about it from the book.

[...] Were you at all apprehensive about having to do a British accent?
I was really scared of the accent, and I was so not confident about it. The filmmakers weren’t very specific. If they’d specified a certain type of English accent, then it would have been easier. Also, they didn’t really have a dialect coach for me to work with—they had a PA. They weren’t giving me the right training about how to move your mouth and where the right sounds are in your mouth, because it’s very technical. I did a film where I spoke mostly in French—Olivier Assayas’ Demonlover—and I learned all of that phonetically with a woman at a piano helping me find the tones. And I did a fucking smashing job.

[...] When you watch yourself in Mr. Nice, are you pleased with the performance? Are you your own harshest critic?
I am, yes, but Bernard made me look better than most people do. He was always bragging about that: “I make you look better than anyone else, I know your angles.”

… and Ology.com:
