American actress and fashion icon Chloë Sevigny is one of Hollywood's boldest and most gifted actors. Known for her many indie film roles, Sevigny has garnered much critical acclaim since her 1995 debut, most recently a Golden Globe for her performance on HBO's Big Love. Sevigny is also widely revered for her sense of style, and recently launched her fourth collection for the hip NY label Opening Ceremony.
Chloë Sevigny appears
this season as the sex-
obsessed Shelley on FX's American Horror Story. Wednesdays on FX!
Tara Subkoff’s second Imitation collection was shown in the midst of a mob scene at Milk last night. While even those with seated tickets were being turned away at the door, some, like Chloë Sevigny, had no problem getting in. The actress was out to show her support for Subkoff, her best friend, and we took a moment to ask what she thought of the collection.
ELLE: So what did you think?
CS: I loved the collection. I would wear everything. Except for maybe some of the see through ones! The two fringe dresses were probably my favorite and the blue, kind of sequin-y numbers. I’m so proud of her. I thought it was amazing.
ELLE: You two have known each other for a long time.
CS: A very long time.
ELLE: So how did you first meet?
CS: We were working on a film together called The Last Days of Disco (1998) directed by Whit Stillman.
ELLE: Are there piece of hers that are particular favorites or you’ve had great red carpet moments in?
CS: On the red carpet? Not that I can remember… But I’ve been wearing it over the years all the time and anything gray she makes I’ll wear forever and always.
ELLE: Do you get inspired by her for your own collections for Opening Ceremony?
CS: Of course I do! She’s my best friend so she inspires me to no end all the time.
ELLE: What are you working on now?
CS: I’m working on my next collection and cleaning my closets.
ELLE: Can you tell us anything about the next collection?
CS: Nope!
Thank God for fashion week: Check out these first five photos of Chloë Sevigny at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Imitation Fall/Winter 2011 Show in New York City earlier today. Also pictured are Chloë’s good friend Imitation’s Tara Subkoff, actress Rose McGowan, Waris Ahluwalia and Jen Brill. We’ll naturally keep our eyes peeled for more photos from this event, but in the mean time…
Bill makes a deal in the Senate, but finds new obstacles to his livelihood being raised by LDS officials. Fed up with interning, Barb considers a dramatic life change that could have far-ranging consequences for the family. A legal obstacle hinders Bill and Nickiʼs efforts to adopt Cara Lynn. Margene preaches the Goji gospel; Rhonda encourages Verlan to do Albyʼs bidding; Lois longs for her old life with Frank; Don takes another hit for Bill.
Be sure to watch, and as always, check back with us for coverage of Chloë Sevigny’s appearance on the show again next week!
[to Barb] “Let me get this straight. I made you so unhappy I drove you into the arms of Margene.”

As always, hope y’all remembered to tune in last night to the fourth Season 5 episode of Big Love. Here is the HBO video recap of episode 5.04 “The Oath” from the HBO website:
So what did you think of the newest episode? Personally, I really liked seeing Bill finally getting some of what’s been coming to him, even though he generally is a likable character. Chloë Sevigny was particularly strong in her scene with Alby and Adaleen (I really liked how Nicki stood up so sternly to her brother), and in fact everyone really turned in great performances last night. I do feel that Nicki’s taken a bit of a backseat drama-wise this season compared to the other wives (even though Chloë’s been brilliant throughout, and had some particularly terrific moments last night — “That’s not true. I desperately wanted to go!”, “… We do?” not to mention, “Please don’t talk to me! You hate me. I don’t want to talk to someone who hates me.” And did you see the way she looked at Barb’s sister Cindy? Priceless. :,D ), but at the same time it’s actually really great to finally see Jeanne Tripplehorn and Ginnifer Goodwin shine in that department as well. And the ending of last night’s episode was just brilliant, boding interesting things for the remainder of the season… (I miss Ray Henry, though.)
Anyway, media-wise, we’ve updated the gallery today with 286 HD screen captures of Chloë as Nicki in the episode, as well as 10 site-exclusivevideo clips. Please remember you must be a registered and logged in media archive user to access our collection of video clips — unlogged users will not be able to view said material. All new videos are in .MOV format, which is playable in e.g. VLC and QuickTime. As always, hope you check back with us again next week for coverage from this Sunday’s episode!
Great news! According to Variety, MPI Media Group has picked up the U.S. distribution rights for Bernard Rose’s Howard Marks-biopic Mr. Nice at last week’s Sundance Film Festival. According to the article, the film is currently slated for a spring theatrical release.
MPI Media Group has picked up U.S. rights to Rhys Ifans comedy-drama Mr. Nice here at the Sundance Film Festival.
Pic, based on the memoir by dope smuggler and raconteur Howard Marks, is helmed by Bernard Rose (Immortal Beloved) and also stars Chloe Sevigny and David Thewlis.
Mr. Nice, which was released in Blighty in October, is skedded for a spring theatrical release this year.
Another batch of fresh screen caps today! We’ve just updated the gallery with 387 site-exclusive Blu-Ray screen captures of Chloë Sevigny as Judy Marks in last year’s Howard Marks-biopic Mr. Nice. Hope you check ‘em out!
Personally, I rather enjoyed Mr. Nice; I loved the whole look and feel of the film, Rhys Ifans was apparently born to play Howard, and the film also had a lot of absolutely hilarious moments. I have to say Chloë does rather struggle in the film with her British accent, but other than is very good as well.
Hey guys, and welcome to Chloë Sevigny Online, version 13!
As you can see, we have a brand new design on the site which we hope you like. The header photo is from Chloë’s beautiful TokionAugust/September 2009 photoshoot. You’ll notice the banner ad is still the old, brown one, but naturally we’ll be changing that soon. As always, the layout has been tested for basic functionality in Internet Explorer 8 (Windows), Firefox 3 (Windows / Mac) and Safari 5 (Mac); we hope it works for you as well.
We’re also nearly done with our ongoing content revision. Almost every page has been updated and revised for factual errors, broken links and spelling mistakes (the Filmography-page in particular was a mess — a draft version of the page had somehow managed to sneak online and replace the correct version), and we’ve also made a couple of minor structural changes which you may or may not notice. There are still a couple of things we want to do before we call it a day, but 95% of the site is now up-to-date.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the new site and check back with us again soon for updates! :)
The Twitter web widget will be down while we look for new alternatives to replace the old one, which Twitter has discontinued. In the mean time, check out our full feed on Twitter @chloesevignyorg.
Please Note: Chloë Sevigny is currently not on Twitter.
