As many of those interested will surely know, the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were handed out to their respective winners last night. Unfortunately, Big Love won neither Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series nor Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for which the show was nominated, nor did any of the cast members attend the award show itself. So a bummer all around.
It’s not all bad news, however, as Big Love stars Chloë Sevigny and Bill Paxton did appear at the Emmys HBO After Party later that evening, a couple of pictures of which have been uploaded to the gallery. Here’s also a video clip from the event with a glimpse of Chloë:
Update Aug 31: More than 50 new medium- and hi-res photo additions from this event have been uploaded to the gallery. Chloë wore a leopard-print Lanvin Pre-Fall 2010 dress paired with black Christian Louboutin booties.
“This is the first time Ginger has brought a man home to meet us! Our Jennifer brings fellas home all the time.”

Check out the recently-launched official site for Chris D’Arienzo’s upcoming indie comedy Barry Munday at www.barrymundayfilm.com. Chloë Sevigny stars in the film in a supporting role as Jennifer Farley opposite Patrick Wilson and Judy Greer. Although the site doesn’t as of yet feature a whole lot of content, at least outside that which we’ve already seen, it’s still worth bookmarking for possible further updates.
Meanwhile, a new trailer for the movie has also surfaced online, featuring a couple of new glimpses of Chloë’s Jennifer. Check it out below or download it in fabulous HD via iTunes on the Apple Trailers website:
Barry Munday premieres On Demand, Xbox Live, Playstation, Amazon and Vudu August 27 and in theaters October 1.
Check out this absolutely hilarious new poster for writer-director Chris D’Arienzo’s upcoming comedy Barry Munday, starring Patrick Wilson, Judy Greer, Cybill Shepherd and of course, Chloë Sevigny. Although Chloë isn’t actually featured herself, it’s still absolutely worth a look.
We also have at last some information on the film’s upcoming release. Straight from the Barry MundayFacebook-page:
Release Date: Premieres On Demand, Xbox Live, Playstation, Amazon and Vudu August 27th and in theatres October 1st Studio: Magnolia Pictures
Check out Chloë Sevigny’s Judy Marks bathing in Rhys Ifans’ sunnies in this new hi-res poster for Bernard Rose’s Howard Marks-biopic, Mr. Nice, out in UK theaters October 8. As of yet, no other release information (e.g. on a possible U.S. release) has been announced for the film, but in the mean time you can (and should) still check out its official site at www.mrnice-themovie.co.uk.
Check out this very interesting and insightful interview from Inquirer.net with Big Love stars Chloë Sevigny, Ginnifer Goodwin, Bill Paxton and Jeanne Tripplehorn, as well as the show’s creator Will Scheffer. The five talk among other things about the future of the show and how e.g. Scheffer pictures the show’s ultimate conclusion, the Season 5 opener, the public reactions they’ve gotten regarding the show, the tabloids and their thoughts on what they sometimes find on the internet. Season 5 has just begun filming, so this is likely to be a relatively quiet summer and fall for us Chloë-fans, news-wise. Full article under the cut.
LOS ANGELES—When we recently interviewed the two wives of a senator, the resulting conversation was amusing and uninhibited. We also talked to the senator and his third wife together—our chat was just as interesting, but nothing can top the banter between two women married to the same guy while he was not around.
These polygamists are Bill Henrickson, Barb Henrickson, Nicki Grant and Margene Heffman, also known as the characters played respectively by Bill Paxton, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloë Sevigny and Ginnifer Goodwin on HBO’s Big Love.
Chloë and Ginnifer together were a hoot, as they dished on their polygamous TV family, their what-were-they-thinking paparazzi shots and what overzealous fans of the series tell them. Bill and Jeanne were more circumspect. In both interviews, Will Scheffer, the show’s cocreator, cowriter and coproducer, sat on the side and gave comments.
Below are excerpts of our laughter-punctuated interviews, held a day before they began filming the fifth season:
Mr. Nice news! Check out the recently revealed UK official site for the upcoming Bernard Rose-directed Howard “Mr. Nice” Marks-biopic at www.mrnice-themovie.co.uk. According to the site, Mr. Nice will be released in (UK) theaters October 8. No word on a US or other release dates yet.
To refresh your memories, here’s the official trailer embedded once more:
We’ve also updated the gallery with a couple of new and mostly-hires promotional stills of Chloë Sevigny as Judy Marks in the film today, which we hope you’ll check out. This film is beginning to look really great!
In related news, co-star David Thewlis was honored at the Edinburgh International Film Festival last month with Best Performance in a British Feature Film “for his energetic and electrifying performance as Jim McCann” in Mr. Nice. The film premiered at the festival June 22, with director Rose, stars Rhys Ifans and David Thewlis as well as Howard Marks himself all in attendance. Although Chloë did unfortunately not attend the event herself, you can check out some great pictures of the others at the premiere anyway on the Edinburgh Festival website.
Fresh photos! Last Monday, July 12, Chloë Sevigny attended the Big Love Beverly Hills Press Conference with co-stars Bill Paxton, Ginnifer Goodwin and Jeanne Tripplehorn in BH, California. As many of you will know, HBO’s Big Love is currently on hiatus pending a fifth season. Check out the first 11 pictures of Chloë at the conference at our gallery; as always, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more.
The 2010 Primetime Emmy nominations have been revealed; unfortunately Chloë Sevigny is not among them. Despite having won a Golden Globe for her last year’s portrayal of Nicolette “Nicki” Grant on HBO’s Big Love earlier this year, Chloë was not able to land an Emmy nomination this year either, nor were the other acclaimed regular cast members of the show.
Big Love, the series itself, on the other hand, was able to nab a couple of noms, and is up for an Emmy in the following categories; from Emmys.com:
Outstanding Casting For A Drama Series
• Big Love (HBO)
• Dexter (Showtime)
• Friday Night Lights (DirecTV)
• The Good Wife (CBS)
• Mad Men (AMC)
• True Blood (HBO)
Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series
• Big Love, “The Mighty And The Strong” – Mary Kay Place as Adaleen Grant
• Big Love, “End Of Days” – Sissy Spacek as Marilyn Densham
• The Cleaner, “Does Everybody Have A Drink?” – Shirley Jones as Lola Zellman
• Damages, “Your Secrets Are Safe” – Lily Tomlin as Marilyn Tobin
• Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, “Bedtime” – Ann-Margret as Rita Wills
• Lost, “The End” – Elizabeth Mitchell as Juliet Burke
Congratulations to Mary Kay Place and Sissy Spacek for their well-deserved nominations! Anyone else feel like using the word ’snub’ with emphasis regarding Chloë, though? Again. How very boring.
Well, it appears we’ve missed a project of Chloë’s altogether! According to the Hamptons International Film Festival website, Chloë Sevigny appears as Kim in Will Frears’ 8-minute drama short Beloved, which premiered at the festival in October last year. Synopsis from the festival website:
Acclaimed actress Chloe Sevigny stars in the moving portrait of a recently widowed soldier’s wife who visits her husband’s grave. HIFF alum director Will Frears deftly captures both the sorrow, and hope of a situation faced by so many young Americans.
We’ve updated the gallery with a small promotional still of Chloë in the film, however that’s about all the information we have on her involvement in the production. If anyone has any additional details to share with us, please do! Thank you.
Exciting news! According to Variety (a generally very reliable source for entertainment news), Chloë Sevigny has been cast opposite Luke Grimes and Jena Malone in writer-director M. Blash’s The Wait. From the source:
Luke Grimes (Shit Year) has been set as the male lead opposite Chloe Sevigny and Jena Malone in director/writer M. Blash’s The Wait. Neil Kopp and Ryan Crisman are producing with principal photography beginning this week in Portland, Ore.
The film follows two sisters who decide to keep their deceased mother in the house after receiving a call that she will come back to life. Grimes will portray a philosophical and enigmatic man who becomes smitten with Malone’s character.
The Wait will reunite Chloë with both Malone and Blash, whom she worked with on the 2006 drama Lying. Congrats on the new film, Chloë!
