On another small note, apologies for the recent delay in updates here. Although there hasn’t really been anything to report news-wise (with Chloë filming The Wait in Portland, Ore), we do have a couple of neat scan treats coming up for you. It’s here! And it’s gorgeous! The first pictures of Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Resort 2011, Chloë’s third collection for the Opening Ceremony brand, have finally been revealed — and it is simply superb. Prepare yourselves for a big update.

The new collection was presented at an Opening Ceremony Garden Party on the Nolita side of New York early last week (June 8, to be precise), where designer Chloë and Opening Ceremony founder Humberto Leon were of course in attendance alongside a huge bunch of guests and presentation models. Have a look at this brand new trailer from IGN.com for Bernard Rose’s Howard Marks-biopic, Mr. Nice, in which Chloë Sevigny stars as Judy Marks opposite Rhys Ifans and David Thewlis. Although the trailer features a lot less of Chloë than the near one-year-old previous trailer, all the shots of her appear to be new and the new trailer is far more polished as a whole than its predecessor. Also, keep an eye on www.mrnice-themovie.co.uk for an official site, coming soon.

Check out this interesting video from Bust Magazine, in which Chloë Sevigny walks the camera through New York’s East Village, “The Wild Wild East”. In the video, Chloë takes the camera to some of her favorite places and talks about her joint history with the area and her various personal connections to the East Village. Judging from Chloë’s shorter crop, the video is also fairly recent. Have a look, it’s very insightful:

There sure has been a lot of new events this Spring! And we’re loving it. Here’s another one: Last Wednesday, May 12, Chloë Sevigny was spotted at the Ray-Ban Aviator: The Essentials Re-Launch Event in New York City. The sharpest observer will recognize Chloë’s black leather dress from her April 2009 appearance at the “Free The Beatrice” Party. First medium- and hi-res photos at our gallery!

Have a look at this behind-the-scenes video of a Tim Barber-photographed photoshoot for the Japanese magazine Eyescream’s “New York Creatives 2010″ feature. The photo spread, featuring Chloë Sevigny among (many) others, is reportedly in the Spring 2010 issue of the magazine; Chloë’s outtakes were recently uploaded to our gallery.

Chloë’s segment comes in only after about 2 minutes and is very brief, but worth a look regardless:

Those who’ve been anxiously awaiting news and updates on Barry Munday since its most successful SXSW premiere in March, will be pleased to hear the film has a very informative and updated Facebook page as well as Twitter account. And according to the aforementioned FB page, in addition to having received several festival premieres recently, judging from this response to a comment from the page admin, Barry Munday might be closing in on a U.S. distribution deal:

hopefully someday. things look good with a distributor and as soon as we have one I will let you know and you can bug them for some B mundo in your neck of the woods!

Barry Munday is an indie comedy from writer-director Chris D’Arienzo about a man who one day wakes up to find his family jewels missing while a strange woman appears in his life claiming he’s the father of her baby. The film stars Patrick Wilson, Judy Greer, Colin Hanks, Emily Procter as well as Chloë Sevigny in a supporting role as Jennifer Farley, and premiered March 14 2010 at the SXSW 2010 in Austin, TX.

Last night, May 3, Chloë Sevigny simply dazzled at the “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity” Costume Insitute Gala in New York City in a bright turquoise, laced Proenza Schouler cocktail dress.
