Hope you’re all tuning in for the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards, because it’s on now!

The show has now started, and the first pictures are beginning to stream in from the red carpet event. As expected, Golden Globe-nominee Chloë Sevigny is in attendance, and looks absolutely stunning(!!) in a ruffled, lilac Valentino dress. We’ll be adding new photos throughout the night, but meanwhile check out the first pictures at out gallery! Lovely, no?

Of course, we’re all hoping for a big night for Big Love! Chloë, as most of you will know, is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her portrayal of Nicolette “Nicki” Grant on the show.

Unfortunately for Big Love, Bill Paxton just lost Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series to Michael C. Hall from Dexter. But we still have Chloë’s nom + Best Television Series (Drama) ahead of us! Fingers crossed, you guys!

Update: Big Love just lost Best Television Series (Drama) to Mad Men. Chloë’s category still coming up, though!

‘Big Love’ episode 4.02 and Golden Globes reminder

Two important reminders for you today!

First off, don’t forget to check out Chloë Sevigny in her Golden Globe-nominated role of Nicolette “Nicki” Grant in the critically acclaimed HBO polygamist drama series, Big Love, when the season’s second episode, 4.02 “The Greater Good”, airs tonight at 9 PM on HBO. Speaking of the Golden Globes, don’t forget to also tune in today to the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards, where Chloë Sevigny is nominated for Best Supporting Actress (Television) for her unparalleled portrayal of Nicki last season. Co-star Bill Paxton and the Big Love series are also nominated in their respective categories. Let’s hope for a big night for Chloë and the show!

Chloë at T Magazine Golden Globes cocktail party

Awards season never fails. Two days ago, January 15 the lovely Choë Sevigny made her first public appearance of the year by showing up at the T Magazine Golden Globe Awards Cocktail Party in Los Angeles, CA, from which we’ve been able to update the gallery with our first 14 medium-res photos. (I love it when she pulls back her hair like that!) As always, we’ll be adding more photos from this event as we find them.

As most of you will already know, Chloë Sevigny is nominated for a Supporting Actress Golden Globe for her portrayal of Nicolette “Nicki” Grant last season on Big Love. The awards ceremony, as hosted by British comedian Ricky Gervais, will take place today, January 17, the live broadcast beginning 5 PM PST / 8 PM EST on NBC. We’re, of course, rooting for Chloë for the win, and will be covering her appearance at the event. Be sure to check back with us for updates!

Many will surely recall Chloë Sevigny’s 2008 style column “Ask Chloe” that was featured in several issues of Elle magazine’s UK publication. Although it’s been more than a year since Chloë’s last style column in the magazine, it looks like UK Elle is once again doing something a little similar for their next issues.

According to ElleUK.com, the magazine will be launching a new feature called the “Stylephile”, which will feature interviews with various A-listers, answering reader-submitted questions. The feature will premiere in the March 2010 issue — and, to our pleasure, Chloë Sevigny is lined up for interview! From ElleUK.com:

In the March issue of ELLE we are launching Stylephile. It’s the chance for you, the reader, to question our A-list cover stars and celebrities and we have a whole host of great Stylephile interviewees lined up for 2010.

Next up is actress and designer Chloe Sevigny. We’d love you to send in your questions for the style icon. Variety reviews ‘Big Love’ Season 4 opening

As many of you will know, the much anticipated fourth season of Big Love, the critically acclaimed HBO polygamist drama series, kicks off this Sunday, January 10 on HBO. Entertainment news website Variety got a first look at the season’s first episodes, and reviewed the season opening overall on their website.

Although the website thought the season premiere left something to be desired, they were overall happy with the acting performances, and the second episode. No major spoilers, certainly none outside of the earlier two Season 4 trailers we’ve seen, are revealed in the review, so this should be a safe article to read for anyone interested in the series and its reception. From Variety.com:

Big Love crested creatively during its third season, but that serialized storyline entailed so many moving parts as to perhaps inevitably yield hiccups as the series begins its fourth flight. Although the plot about a secret suburban polygamist initially produced plenty of clever moments about marital politics, the program grew richer and more dense by widening its lens beyond suburban polygamy to the machinations of law enforcement, politicians and even Native-American gaming that now surround its thrice-married protagonist. All told, it’s a heady brew, despite the slightly flat start.

[...] there’s no shortage of diversions.

Perhaps too many, actually, in the first of these nine hours, which feels jumbled and hurried. The show settles down considerably in the second episode, and the cast (which credits a dizzying 30 characters) is almost uniformly superb — extracting memorable moments from what are ostensibly peripheral players, like Mary Kay Place as Roman’s ruthless wife and Nicki’s mother.

Don’t forget Chloë Sevigny is nominated for Best Supporting Actress (Drama, TV) at the 2010 Golden Globes for her portrayal of Nicolette “Nicki” Grant, Bill Henrickson’s second wife, on the show. Co-star Bill Paxton is also nominated for a Golden Globe for his portrayal of the aforementioned Bill Henrickson, while Big Love is nominated for Best Television Series (Drama). The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be broadcast live via NBC on January 17 2010 @ 5 PM PST / 8 PM EST.

Just a quick heads-up that Chloë Sevigny attended the Los Angeles premiere of her latest film, the Werner Herzog-directed thriller My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done in California on December 19. ApartamentoMagazine.com reports Chloë Sevigny and her New York apartment is currently featured in the Fall/Winter 2009/2010 issue (#4) of the interiors magazine, Apartamento (Es). In addition to photographs of her apartment, the magazine features some very cool new photos of Chloë herself. As some of you will know, magazines such as House & Garden (US) and Glamour (UK) took their readers on a tour around her Manhattan apartment in their respective 2007 issues.

Yesterday, November 13, Chloë Sevigny attended the Prada Book Launch Cocktail Party at the Prada Beverly Hills store in California. Chloë to attend Contemporary Art Museum Dada Ball April 2010

St. Louis Today reports Chloë Sevigny will be attending the Contemporary Art Museum Dada Ball on April 17 2010:

Talk about a lineup – the Contemporary Art Museum is pulling in actress Chloe Sevigny, LA vintage boutique store owner Cameron Silver, style writer Derek Blasberg and negotiating with international hot model Karlie Kloss – for its 5th bi-annual Dada Ball.

The ball, which always turns into a creative tour de force, is scheduled for April 17 at the Contemporary, 3750 Washington Boulevard. It is being presented by St. Louis Magazine.

Although the event is still quite a ways yet, for more information on the Dada Ball and tickets, please visit the museum website.
