As many of those interested will surely know, the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were handed out to their respective winners last night. Unfortunately, Big Love won neither Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series nor Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for which the show was nominated, nor did any of the cast members attend the award show itself. So a bummer all around.

It’s not all bad news, however, as Big Love stars Chloë Sevigny and Bill Paxton did appear at the Emmys HBO After Party later that evening, a couple of pictures of which have been uploaded to the gallery. Here’s also a video clip from the event with a glimpse of Chloë:

Update Aug 31: More than 50 new medium- and hi-res photo additions from this event have been uploaded to the gallery. Chloë wore a leopard-print Lanvin Pre-Fall 2010 dress paired with black Christian Louboutin booties.

The 2010 Primetime Emmy nominations have been revealed; unfortunately Chloë Sevigny is not among them. Despite having won a Golden Globe for her last year’s portrayal of Nicolette “Nicki” Grant on HBO’s Big Love earlier this year, Chloë was not able to land an Emmy nomination this year either, nor were the other acclaimed regular cast members of the show.

Big Love, the series itself, on the other hand, was able to nab a couple of noms, and is up for an Emmy in the following categories; from Emmys.com:

Outstanding Casting For A Drama Series
Big Love (HBO)
Dexter (Showtime)
Friday Night Lights (DirecTV)
The Good Wife (CBS)
Mad Men (AMC)
True Blood (HBO)

Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series
Big Love, “The Mighty And The Strong” – Mary Kay Place as Adaleen Grant
Big Love, “End Of Days” – Sissy Spacek as Marilyn Densham
The Cleaner, “Does Everybody Have A Drink?” – Shirley Jones as Lola Zellman
Damages, “Your Secrets Are Safe” – Lily Tomlin as Marilyn Tobin
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, “Bedtime” – Ann-Margret as Rita Wills
Lost, “The End” – Elizabeth Mitchell as Juliet Burke

Congratulations to Mary Kay Place and Sissy Spacek for their well-deserved nominations! Anyone else feel like using the word ’snub’ with emphasis regarding Chloë, though? Again. How very boring.

More photos! After the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony and a quick change of clothing, Chloë Sevigny was spotted at the Golden Globes HBO After Party in a new, black Christian Lacroix dress. (Whether the change of outfit was planned or a result of Chloë accidentally ripping the lilac Valentino dress as she walked up to accept her award, we don’t know.) We’ve uploaded the first six photos of Chloë embracing her award at the event to our gallery. Have a look!

As most of you will know by now, Chloë Sevigny accepted the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress (Television) at the event, for her portrayal of Nicolette “Nicki” Grant on the critically acclaimed HBO polygamist drama series, Big Love. Read more about it in our original update on this fantastic news.

Big, big congratulations to Chloë Sevigny for holding up the Big Love flag and winning the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her portrayal of Nicolette “Nicki” Grant on the show!! A well-deserved award, we think.

Also in contention for the award were Jane Adams (Hung, HBO), Rose Byrne (Damages, FX NETWORK), Jane Lynch, (Glee, FOX) and Janet McTeer (Into The Storm, HBO), however it was Chloë (or Chloï, as they misspelled her name) Sevigny who took home the award, as presented to her by actors Chace Crawford and Kristen Bell. We’re so happy for you, Chloë! It’s fantastic!

Meanwhile, Big Love and Bill Paxton lost to Mad Men and Michael C. Hall from Dexter in their respective categories.

Chloë’s acceptance speech was very composed, though she was clearly very excited about her win (and was dressed for the occasion). She also suspected she may have ripped her dress walking up onto the stage! Check out a clip of the speech below Unfortunately, Chloë’s acceptance speech is currently not available for viewing on YouTube and cannot therefore be embedded, but you can check out a LQ streaming version of it at e.g. Jezebel.com.

Our transcript of Chloë’s entire acceptance speech:

Hope you’re all tuning in for the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards, because it’s on now!

The show has now started, and the first pictures are beginning to stream in from the red carpet event. As expected, Golden Globe-nominee Chloë Sevigny is in attendance, and looks absolutely stunning(!!) in a ruffled, lilac Valentino dress. We’ll be adding new photos throughout the night, but meanwhile check out the first pictures at out gallery! Lovely, no?

Of course, we’re all hoping for a big night for Big Love! Chloë, as most of you will know, is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her portrayal of Nicolette “Nicki” Grant on the show.

Unfortunately for Big Love, Bill Paxton just lost Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series to Michael C. Hall from Dexter. But we still have Chloë’s nom + Best Television Series (Drama) ahead of us! Fingers crossed, you guys!

Update: Big Love just lost Best Television Series (Drama) to Mad Men. Chloë’s category still coming up, though!

Update 2: Chloë Sevigny WINS Golden Globe! Congratulations on the well-deserved win!!

Update 3: Well, the Golden Globes are over, but we continue to update the gallery with new photos. Check them out! What a night!

Yesterday, September 20, the 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards were held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, where the critically acclaimed HBO series Big Love was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, and Chloë Sevigny was there in support of the series, looking as amazing as ever in a white polka dot gown. The gallery has been updated with our first 62 medium-res photos of Chloë at the event — be sure to check back with us for additions!

Unfortunately, Big Love did not win the category it was nominated in. The award for Outstanding Drama Series went to Mad Men. Bummer.
