Many will surely recall Chloë Sevigny’s 2008 style column “Ask Chloe” that was featured in several issues of Elle magazine’s UK publication. Although it’s been more than a year since Chloë’s last style column in the magazine, it looks like UK Elle is once again doing something a little similar for their next issues.
According to ElleUK.com, the magazine will be launching a new feature called the “Stylephile”, which will feature interviews with various A-listers, answering reader-submitted questions. The feature will premiere in the March 2010 issue — and, to our pleasure, Chloë Sevigny is lined up for interview! From ElleUK.com:
In the March issue of ELLE we are launching Stylephile. It’s the chance for you, the reader, to question our A-list cover stars and celebrities and we have a whole host of great Stylephile interviewees lined up for 2010.
Next up is actress and designer Chloe Sevigny. We’d love you to send in your questions for the style icon. This is your opportunity to ask her anything and everything: what will she be buying for the new season? What attributes does she look for in her friends…and men? When did she first realise she was famous? What keeps her awake at night?
You may submit your question(s) to Chloë via email to emailELLE@hf-uk.com. The website assigns no actual deadline for submissions, but naturally, the sooner you send one in the better!

More interesting magazine features this month! Vice (US) magazine recenty announced on their website Viceland.com they are releasing a previously unpublished 1994 issue featuring Chloë Sevigny on the cover, as part of their 15th anniversary celebration:
This month marks Vice’s 15-year anniversary! Happy anniversary, awesome magazine that we work at. We were digging through ancient file cabinets in the basement trying to find old Vice photos or paraphernalia from the first few issues to have a hearty laugh at, but what we ended up with is so much more: We stumbled upon an entire issue of Vice from 1994 that was never published! We guess the editors were too stoned that month to actually finish it or something. Who knows. Anyway, we decided to go ahead and publish it now, in honor of 15 years of magaziney excellence.
Oh it’s a great issue, mind you. There are interviews with Kato Kaelin, Daisy Von Furth, Ricky Powell, Elizabeth Wurtzel, Lisa Loeb, Pavement, and Jenny Shimizu. There are never-before-seen photos of a young ingénue named Chloë Sevigny and never-before-seen photos by an obscure photographer named Terry Richardson. We’ve got raver fashion and heroin chic, date-rape drugs and Evan Dando. We’ve got Christina fuckin’ Kelly from Sassy writing about My So-Called Life, an ode to Tonya Harding, and an expose on a new computer trend called “the internet.”
We’ll be posting all the articles starting tomorrow, but for now, let us gaze upon the cover. Those are photo-booth photos of Chloë Sevigny in 1994–outtakes from a fashion shoot for X-Girl, the clothing label designed by Daisy von Furth and Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth. This is right after she was named the “It Girl” by Jay MacInerney in the New Yorker and right before Kids came out and blew the whole thing up. Folks, it doesn’t get more ’94 than that. This whole experience has been like unearthing our own personal version of the Dead Sea Scrolls—if the Dead Sea Scrolls ROCKED! Hahahaha. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Let the nostalgia commence!
Now, how to categorize the new photos, in mags from 1994 or 2009…

The NUY Cancer Institute website reported back in May 2009 that renowned designer Marc Jacobs is reissuing in color some of his “Protect the Skin You’re In” campaign tees, in which notable celebrities and fashion icons pose nude. Chloë Sevigny poses nude on one of Jacobs’ tees, as do fellow celebrities Victoria Beckham, Milla Jovovich, Heidi Klum, Dita Von Teese and Doutzen Kroes. From the May 2009 update of the The NUY Cancer Institute website:
Marc Jacobs has reissued color versions of some of the most popular “Protect The Skin You’re In” celebrity nude T-shirts as part of an ongoing campaign to raise awareness about the deadly skin cancer and benefit melanoma research at the NYU Cancer Institute at NYU Langone Medical Center. The campaign, which features more than a dozen celebrities baring all for skin cancer, has already raised over $1 million for the NYU School of Medicine’s Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group (IMCG).
“The public awareness generated by the T-shirt campaign is enormous, not to mention the funds that have been raised,” says Dr. William L. Carroll, director of the NYU Cancer Institute, who notes that proceeds of the sales of the T-shirts benefit IMCG. “We are grateful for the generosity of Marc Jacobs and Robert Duffy in allowing the NYU Cancer Institute to focus on research and advancing clinical care.”
The NYU Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group (NYU-IMCG) is a multidisciplinary melanoma translational research program dedicated to advancing the care of melanoma patients through a coordinated approach combining basic science, translational research and clinical care. Its 23 investigators represent 11 departments at NYU Langone Medical Center. Since 2002, it has enrolled over one-thousand patients, who have donated blood and tumor tissues for research. NYU-IMCG is supported by the NYU Cancer Institute, NYU School of Medicine’s Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology, and the Marc Jacobs’ campaigns to support melanoma research.

According to Dazed Digital and Style.com, Chloë Sevigny will be channeling Miu Miu in a celebration of “The Decade in Style” in the upcoming Fall/Winter 2009 special collector’s edition of AnOther Magazine (UK), featuring model Kate Moss and actresses Natalie Portman, Katie Holmes and Vanessa Paradis on four respective covers of the issue. From Dazed Digital:
28 designers who define the decade, 28 women who define style, from Carine Roitfeld to Kylie Minogue, brought together by AnOther Magazine for a special collectors’ edition to mark the end of the decade.
AnOther Magazine has been given unprecedented access to the archives of the most important designers of the past ten years for this landmark project, pairing each of the 28 women with a collection by a different designer, encapsulating unique moments in a decade of fashion.
From Style.com:
As the decade draws to a close, it seems fair to wonder: What was aughts fashion? What was memorable? What will embarass us when we look back at photos twenty, thirty years hence? What was significant, in that it changed the way we shop or dress? Another Magazine’s forthcoming issue takes a stab at the question of what’s mattered, fashion-wise, since the turn of the millennium, pulling pieces from the archives and pairing 28 celebs with key designers in order to create images that celebrate, in editor-in-chief Jefferson Hack’s words, “how far fashion and design have come.” Another has given Style.com a sneak peek behind the scenes at the shoots—Chloë Sevigny in Miu Miu, Courtney Love turned out in Givenchy Haute Couture, both Olsen twins taking on Calvin Klein Collection, and more. What do you think we’ll remember about the ’00s? What would you prefer to forget?
As always, we’ll be doing our best to obtain scans from this issue for Chloë Sevigny Online, however as always, if you would like to send in yours, please don’t hesitate to do so! Thank you.
