Many will surely recall Chloë Sevigny’s 2008 style column “Ask Chloe” that was featured in several issues of Elle magazine’s UK publication. Although it’s been more than a year since Chloë’s last style column in the magazine, it looks like UK Elle is once again doing something a little similar for their next issues.

According to ElleUK.com, the magazine will be launching a new feature called the “Stylephile”, which will feature interviews with various A-listers, answering reader-submitted questions. The feature will premiere in the March 2010 issue — and, to our pleasure, Chloë Sevigny is lined up for interview! From ElleUK.com:

In the March issue of ELLE we are launching Stylephile. It’s the chance for you, the reader, to question our A-list cover stars and celebrities and we have a whole host of great Stylephile interviewees lined up for 2010.

Next up is actress and designer Chloe Sevigny. We’d love you to send in your questions for the style icon. This is your opportunity to ask her anything and everything: what will she be buying for the new season? What attributes does she look for in her friends…and men? When did she first realise she was famous? What keeps her awake at night?

You may submit your question(s) to Chloë via email to emailELLE@hf-uk.com. The website assigns no actual deadline for submissions, but naturally, the sooner you send one in the better!

ElleUK.com reports Chloë Sevigny is one of many celebrity members of the Elle (UK) “50 Rules of Style” panel, which also includes actress Christina Ricci and singer Roisin Murphy. The list is featured in the January 2009 issue of the magazine. From ElleUK.com:

‘Don’t force a look’ is a style commandment actress and style icon Chloë Sevigny lives by. And it’s just one of 50 rules of style in January ELLE’s guide to sharp, individual dressing for the new season, from five of the world’s most fashionable women. Actress Christina Ricci, ELLE fashion director Anne-Marie Curtis, singer Róisín Murphy and fashion designer Katharine Hamnett all join Sevigny on the panel. Whatever your age, shape and personal style, these are rules worth remembering.

‘I used to try building outfits around one key piece, such as a great pair of shoes. I’d end up trying on a million things to go with them and still nothing would look right. I’ve learned to take a more flexible approach to getting dressed,’ reveals Chloe Sevigny, while actress Christina Ricci tells us, ‘Don’t be afraid to use distraction – if a look isn’t working as well as you hoped and you’re running out of time, compensate with fabulous make-up. A vivid slick of eye liner or nail polish work for me. Or reach for ridiculously huge sunglasses – that old standby saves us all.’

That’s swell, Elle, but Chloë Sevigny Online is still not happy about the apparent cancellation of Chloë’s style advisor column. We’re disappointed, you hear?

Take out some tissues for tears, because it would seem Chloë’s “Ask Chloë” (or “Ask Chloe”, rather — the absence of the umlaut bothers me to no end, though) style column in the UK publication of Elle is no more. In addition to the column not being featured in the latest (December) issue of the magazine, it would now seem the feature has also been removed from the website ElleUK.com. Go on, try it. It’s not there — and I’m bummed out.

Surprisingly (not to mention disappointingly), if the table of contents is anything to go by then Chloë Sevigny’s brilliant style column “Ask Chloë” (or “Ask Chloe”, rather) is not featured in the newest, December 2008 issue of UK fashion mag Elle, featuring actress Kate Beckinsale on the cover. Whatever happened, we don’t know. Yet. Damn you, Elle!

Once again, the photo attached to the column is not new but belongs to the (albeit gorgeous) Marc de Groot photoshoot from some years back. It would seem the November 2008 issue of UK fashion mag Elle is out, and Chloë’s “Ask Chloë” column is once again featured (p. 140-141). For those interested in purchasing the magazine themselves, model (and, surprisingly, February 2008 cover girl) Karolina Kurkova graces the (stunning!) cover of the issue, a preview of which you’ll find to your right. Yay! It would seem Chloë’s monthly Elle (UK) “Ask Chloë” column is featured in yet another issue of the magazine! The magazine’s October 2008 issue features another “Ask Chloë” two-pager, with another photo of Chloë’s Marc de Groot photoshoot from some years back. For those interested in purchasing the magazine themselves, TV presenter Alexa Chung is featured on the issue’s cover, a preview of which you’ll find to your right.

Although this issue has yet to reach my country, I’ve already updated the gallery with two hi-res scans of the October column; many thanks to Stevie of Discotheque Confusion for sending them in! November issue, here we come!

Things continue to be quiet with Chloë, hence the slow updates. I’ve nevertheless updated the gallery with two hi-res scans of her this month’s style column in the September 2008 issue of Elle (UK). Finally some news, and some good news at that! I was at the local store today only to find the latest, September 2008 issue of Elle (UK) already out, and was most pleased to find Chloë’s “Ask Chloë” style column once again featured. I guess this means we still have more column entries to look forward to, since the original report of six months is evidently untrue; the the September issue of the magazine marks Chloë’s 7th column entry.

To those interested in grabbing the magazine themselves, actress Mary-Kate Olsen graces the issue’s cover, a preview of which you’ll find to your right. The most sharp-eyed ones will soon notice this month’s Chloë photo is in fact not from the Matthias Vriens-photographed Elle shoot, but rather an older one by Marc de Groot (who actually happens to be one of my favorite photographers). Stay tuned for scans!

Fresh Chloë scans today! My goodness, she’s been on fire this year. Hi-res scans of Chloë’s features in Elle (UK) June and June 2008 issues, Very Elle Spring/Summer 2008 and Doingbird #13 (which I was quite surprised to find in stores last week) have been added to the gallery. If anyone was able to catch Chloë in Purple magazine, please do consider scanning it for us! The issue slipped off store shelves in my country before I got the chance to buy it. Thank you!

Speaking of UK Elle, I’d like to remind you of Chloë’s style column, which is again featured in the July 2008 issue, scans of which were just added to the gallery. The cover features actress Sienna Miller and, unlike in the June issue, the Matthias Vriens-snapped Chloë photo attached to the article is new (and very leggy). This is Chloë’s 5th column entry, which means we can look forward to one more entry as Chloë has reportedly been signed on as the mag’s style advisor for six months (=presumably six issues).
