Chloë to chair Jeffrey Fashion Cares LGBT Fundraiser

Edge on the Net reports Chloë Sevigny will be the Honorary Chair for the 2012 Jeffrey Fashion Cares LBT Fundraiser.

Jeffrey Fashion Cares, the annual fashion fundraiser benefiting the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community and those with HIV/AIDS, announced that Terrence Meck, founder and executive director of The Palette Fund, will receive its first annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares Community Leadership Award.

The award, honoring an individual or organization who has both professionally and personally benefited the lives of LGBT people and those living with HIV/AIDS, will be given at this year’s Jeffrey Fashion Cares event, to be held at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on March 26. Oscar-nominated actress and fashion icon Chloë Sevigny will be the Honorary Chair for this year’s event, joined by Todd Sears and Dan Rothmann, who are returning as co-chairs for their ninth and eight years, respectively.

“We created the award to recognize people who have affected change on a wide range of fronts to the benefit of the LGBT community, much like Jeffrey Fashion Cares itself, which provides funding to organizations working on LGBT rights, HIV/AIDS, and at-risk youth,” said Jeffrey Kalinsky, founder of Jeffrey Fashion Cares.

The fundraiser will be held Monday, March 26, 2012 in New York City. Details and tix at www.jeffreyfashioncares.org.

TVGuide: Chloë to appear on ‘Law & Order: SVU’

Wow! Exciting news! TVGuide.com reports Chloë Sevigny will be appearing in an upcoming episode of NBC’s hit police procedural Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Details from TVGuide:

Former Big Love star Chloe Sevigny is returning to TV with a guest role on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Sources tell us that Sevigny will play a stay-at-home mom who is attacked and kidnapped while video-chatting with her husband, who’s halfway around the world. She is slated to start shooting the episode next week. NBC declined to comment on the casting.

The role would mark Chloë’s first guest appearance on a fictional TV show since her 2004 guest role on Will & Grace, and her second guest role ever. It’ll be great to see her in a more mainstream production again. Very exciting! :D

Update Feb 17: Yes! NBC has confirmed Chloë’s appearance on the show through a press release on their website. According to the press release, Chloë will appear in the episode “Valentine’s Day” which will air later in the show’s ongoing 13th season.
