Chloë to attend Contemporary Art Museum Dada Ball April 2010

St. Louis Today reports Chloë Sevigny will be attending the Contemporary Art Museum Dada Ball on April 17 2010:

Talk about a lineup – the Contemporary Art Museum is pulling in actress Chloe Sevigny, LA vintage boutique store owner Cameron Silver, style writer Derek Blasberg and negotiating with international hot model Karlie Kloss – for its 5th bi-annual Dada Ball.

The ball, which always turns into a creative tour de force, is scheduled for April 17 at the Contemporary, 3750 Washington Boulevard. It is being presented by St. Louis Magazine.

New mag features! In addition to her recent L’Uomo Vogue cover feature, Chloë Sevigny currently graces the respective covers of the November 2009 issues of French L’Officiel’ and Spanish Condé Nast Traveler. Previews of both (gorgeous!) covers have been uploaded to the gallery here and here — aren’t they great? Good to see some activity on the Chloë front again.

As you may have noticed, things have been rather quiet with Chloë of late, probably due to her Big Love filming commitment in Los Angeles. However, we do have a small update on the series, as MovieWeb reports HBO has confirmed with Variety a Season 4 premiere date for the critically acclaimed series: January 10 2010. Can hardly wait!

ViewOnFashion.com has a preview of the new Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Fall 2009 lookbook, featuring a lot of — redheads. From ViewOnFashion.com:

Chloe Sevigny wanted her new collection for Opening Ceremony to really turn heads, and she wanted the lookbook to be unique too. So she decided to make the winter catalogue into a bibliographic project – a book dedicated to redheads. The exclusive book is a limited edition that captures Chloe’s unique creativity.

Reds includes various photos by David Armstrong and artwork by artists like Joe Denardo and Marlene McCarty. The book is based on a simple idea: red hair. Chloe thought that her collection of grey tweeds would look perfect on redheads.

How did they find so many red-haired models? They sought out friends and old acquaintances, and for their casting sessions they took to the streets near Thompkins Square Park. The book is on sale in Opening Ceremony…

‘Vice’ (US) releases unpublished 1994 Chloë issue

More interesting magazine features this month! Vice (US) magazine recenty announced on their website Viceland.com they are releasing a previously unpublished 1994 issue featuring Chloë Sevigny on the cover, as part of their 15th anniversary celebration:

This month marks Vice’s 15-year anniversary! Happy anniversary, awesome magazine that we work at. We were digging through ancient file cabinets in the basement trying to find old Vice photos or paraphernalia from the first few issues to have a hearty laugh at, but what we ended up with is so much more: We stumbled upon an entire issue of Vice from 1994 that was never published! We guess the editors were too stoned that month to actually finish it or something. Who knows. Anyway, we decided to go ahead and publish it now, in honor of 15 years of magaziney excellence.

Oh it’s a great issue, mind you. There are interviews with Kato Kaelin, Daisy Von Furth, Ricky Powell, Elizabeth Wurtzel, Lisa Loeb, Pavement, and Jenny Shimizu. There are never-before-seen photos of a young ingénue named Chloë Sevigny and never-before-seen photos by an obscure photographer named Terry Richardson. We’ve got raver fashion and heroin chic, date-rape drugs and Evan Dando. We’ve got Christina fuckin’ Kelly from Sassy writing about My So-Called Life, an ode to Tonya Harding, and an expose on a new computer trend called “the internet.”

We’ll be posting all the articles starting tomorrow, but for now, let us gaze upon the cover. Those are photo-booth photos of Chloë Sevigny in 1994–outtakes from a fashion shoot for X-Girl, the clothing label designed by Daisy von Furth and Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth. This is right after she was named the “It Girl” by Jay MacInerney in the New Yorker and right before Kids came out and blew the whole thing up. Folks, it doesn’t get more ’94 than that. This whole experience has been like unearthing our own personal version of the Dead Sea Scrolls—if the Dead Sea Scrolls ROCKED! Hahahaha. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Let the nostalgia commence!

Prepare to have your jaws drop, as Chloë Sevigny is currently featured in an absolutely fantastic, fun shoot in and on the cover of the October 2009 issue of Italian men’s fashion magazine, L’Uomo Vogue. The Fashion Spot member blackangel41999 was the first to premiere hi-res scans from the issue online. What a breath of fresh air, this editorial! Can hardly wait for this to reach newsstands here…
