“It was Satan! Satan, he got a hold of me!”
- Nicolette “Nicki” Grant

Hopefully, everyone was able to tune in to last Sunday’s episode of HBO’s polygamist drama series, Big Love, in which Chloë Sevigny stars as Bill Henrickson’s second wife Nicolette “Nicki” Grant opposite Bill Paxton, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Ginnifer Goodwin. Here’s our recap of episode 3.07 “Fight or Flight”, please highlight to read:

Margene, Barb and Bill try to stage an intervention in order to get Nicki off birth control pills, but Nicki explodes instead and has what at least seems like a panic attack. Margie is becoming increasingly depressed, and dyes her back to brown. Barb is strugging with the many crises within her family, particularly that of Sarah’s, who’s trying to put her miscarriage in the past. Despite initial plans, Sarah, now equipped with a car from Bill, decides to not go to university after all, which angers her friend Heather, possibly irreconcilably. Margie makes a surprise appearance at Nicki’s work at the DA’s office much to Nicki’s dismay, and Nicki’s unwitting boss accidentally blows her cover to Margie. Margie accuses Nicki of identity theft and tampering with evidence, and calls for Nicki to quit, or else she will reveal her true identity to the DA. Nicki, who is becoming increasingly attracted to his boss after a secret, romantic date with him, is reluctant to comply, but Margie forces her hand and Nicki resigns once more, but kisses her boss passionately before exiting. Nicki then asks Barb to take her off the schedule. Meanwhile, Nicki’s father Roman Grant is becoming increasingly frustrated with Kathy Marquart’s “defiance”, and plans to marry her away to an elderly polygamist in Mexico, while Kathy is about marry Bill’s brother Joey and his first wife, Wanda, who is becoming increasingly unstable. On their wedding day, however, Kathy is kidnapped by Roman’s lackeys and only narrowly escapes marriage to an old man with an old, stolen pick-up truck. With Roman et al. right behind her, however, Kathy is distracted in her driving and dies as she fatally crashes her car.

Holy smokes! I feel like I should’ve seen that coming, but I didn’t. Really loved Chloë’s opening scene, though! Not to mention seeing Nicki showing a little cleavage; about time, that was! Check out our 488 medium-res screen captures of Chloë’s appearance on the show at our gallery, or alternatively our 7 site-exclusive video clips at our media archive. Don’t forget to tune in again next Sunday for episode 3.08 “Rough Edges”! As always, we’ll do our best to cover it.
