Some of you will remember how we reported earlier that Chloë was recently photographed for an unknown Uniqlo advertisement campaign. The people at Women’s Wear Daily now seem to have posted an update regarding this, as they report Chloë appears in Uniqlo’s women’s ad campaign for their UT Project (UT=Uniqlo T-shirt). From WWD.com:

Uniqlo’s ongoing UT Project (UT stands for Uniqlo T-shirt) features designs created by artists, designers, musicians and photographers. More than 1,000 different designs exist and new ones are added each season. For the next installment, bowing in April, Uniqlo tapped the art of Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, two artists who died tragically young. Uniqlo is reproducing their art under a licensing agreement with the artists’ estates. There will be about a dozen different designs from each, with prices starting at $15.50. Markus Kiersztan, creative director at MP Creative, Uniqlo’s marketing and advertising company, chose Chloë Sevigny to appear in the women’s ad campaign for UT Project, and Tadanobu Asano, a young Japanese film star, for the men’s. The two also were photographed together in ads, which will be used in wildpostings, a type of viral guerrilla-style image campaign, as well as full pages in several magazines. The company is recording its T-shirt designs for a cultural data base and also has asked artists worldwide to submit designs for possible T-shirts.

The article came with a small preview of the ad campaign; click on the attached preview to see it in full. Hopefully more outtakes from this shoot will surface online soon! We’ll keep you posted.

I have even more scans for you today, as promised. The ever wonderful Andrew recently sent in 6 fabulous scans of a beautiful Chloë in the March 2008 issue of i-D magazine (featuring Raquel Zimmermann on the cover). You’ll notice Chloë is once again wearing designs from her own collection for Opening Ceremony.

Furthermore, I would like to remind you all that Chloë’s style column for Elle (UK), “Ask Chloë”, is again featured in the April 2008 issue of the magazine (with actress Kate Hudson on the cover). Scans coming up!

Friends, we are being spoiled with Chloë magazine coverage! Some weeks back, the lovely Andrew sent in some absolutely phenomenal scans of Chloë’s fantastic photo spread in the Japanese mag Numéro Tokyo December 2007 issue. I believe scans of this issue are quite rare, so this really is an extraordinary treat for all of us Chloë fans! I highly recommend checking out our 20 scans from the issue, a huge thank you for which goes out to Andrew.

Speaking of scans, I’ve noticed that some people have recently found a need to crop off or photoshop out the small tag on our Chloë scans and then repost them at celebrity message boards without the slightest of mention of Chloë Sevigny Online, which has me rather disappointed. I could always stamp an enormous watermark on every picture, but I don’t think anyone wants the photos ruined, myself included. Seeing that, unlike so many other fan sites today, scans are the only photos I tag here at CSO and even then the tag is a fairly small one, I don’t see why allowing Chloë Sevigny Online and its contributors a little credit for rare, hi-res scans should be so much to ask. Thus, I would like to kindly ask reposters not to remove the tag on the scans. Thank you for your consideration.

The wonderful Andrew has been treating me with some fabulous scans of Chloë’s recent magazine features over the month, and it’s high time I shared some of these you. I have more still to post later this week, so stay tuned.

Kicking off the week’s scan updates with Chloë’s features in Vanity Fair April 2008 and He Magazine January 2008. Vanity Fair features Chloë briefly in their “In Character” segment, in which Chloë is given three situations to express facially. It’s the most adorable little feature, I highly recommend checking it out!

Second off is a brand new Chloë photo spread in the January 2008 issue of He Magazine. I don’t know if the issue is still available in stores since it is an early 2008 release, however, if you’re interested you can preview the entire issue at He-Magazine.com. For those who are only interested in the Chloë feature, we have 6 fabulous hi-res scans of the issue for you, once again thanks to Andrew. You’ll notice she is modeling designs from her Opening Ceremony collection in the shoot. The issue furthermore contains a small fashion-oriented interview with Chloë.

First off, an announcement which will hopefully please most of you. Despite the fact that the new gallery I’ve been constructing behind the scenes is still work in progress, with the recent Chloë media coverage I have increasingly felt the need to open it regardless of this. Thus the new photo gallery is now open for browsing! Now, I know it may be a bit dreary, having to surf between two galleries. However, as soon as all the material from the old gallery has been moved to the new one, it will be deleted. For now, the old gallery will remain open but unupdated – all new photos will be uploaded to the new gallery as will existing photos in the old gallery.

Onto today’s news. On March 7, Chloë hosted the MSG Plus Pre-Party for the NetJets Showdown in New York, and I’ve added the first 5 medium-res photos of her at the event. More photos will be added as I find them. Now that I’ve opened the new gallery, look forward to a lot more other Chloë footage in the future as well. Enjoy!

Finally we have a proper first look at Chloë’s Opening Ceremony collection, which debuted at the New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in early February. FabSugar has an exclusive sneak peak at the collection’s 16 looks, naturally modeled by Chloë herself, which is definitely worth a look.

The collection itself seems to me set to divide people into two opposing camps, but fans familiar with Chloë’s fashion sense will notice she’s been very true to her playful, quirky style. Here’s what the people at FabSugar had to say about the clothesline:

It’s mostly eccentric, but did we expect anything else from the quirky actress? I’m talking gingham, florals, and fun frocks — with an early ’90s reference. I’d definitely wear individual pieces, though in a slightly more polished way.

Update: The entire collection lookbook is now available in PDF format at OpeningCeremony.us!

There hasn’t really been much news on Chloë’s current and upcoming projects, so I thought I’d post a quick round-up of what’s coming up for our favorite actress. Kicking things off with…

… a potential new project for Chloë! Women’s Wear Daily reports Chloë recently mentioned in an interview an upcoming film in which she stars alongside Patrick Wilson and Judy Greer. I haven’t been able to find any additional information on this film yet, but here’s to hoping it’s true! From WWD.com:

Chloë Sevigny, who kicked off her DJ set at Colette over the weekend with The Cramps, said she was heading back to the States to resume shooting Big Love, as well as a new film also starring Patrick Wilson and Judy Greer. She was shy about details, but said it’s set in the present day and her character is “kind of sassy, which is good, because I never get to be sexy!”

If you read the above excerpt, you will also know that Big Love has resumed Season 3 filming in the U.S. as the WGA writers’ strike ended some weeks back. Yay! The third season of the series will premiere on HBO sometime this summer.

And finally some tidbits: Peter and Catherine seems to have been indefinitely postponed, and the film has been removed from Chloë’s IMDb filmography so I’m not entirely sure what’s the film’s current status. If anyone knows something about this, please get in touch! Thank you. Meanwhile, The Killing Room has moved into post-production, and there’s still no word as to the rumor we had some time back about Chloë’s potential role in Terminator 4. We’ll keep you posted!

I’m in a bit of a hurry right now, however I wanted to let you know Chloë has been out and about again after a small break. She is currently in Paris, France for the ongoing Paris Fashion Week, and was looking fashionable as always at two events on March 2. I have uploaded a handful of medium- and hi-res photos of Chloë in Paris, some thanks to my good friend Filip of Salma-Hayek.net. Enjoy!
