After a long quiet period I am so glad to finally see some new Chloë-ness! As we reported earlier, Chloë is now Elle magazine’s “style advisor” and will be writing a column for the magazine for the next six months, and thus she is currently featured in the March 2008 issue of Elle (UK) in a brand new, sizzling photoshoot!
I’ve added eight scans from the issue to the gallery thanks to OhJane of The Fashion Spot – I will upload better resolution scans (including such of the “Ask Chloë”-column on page 188 of the magazine, which are currently not among the scans) as soon as the issue reaches my country. Meanwhile, check out the magazine’s awesome interview with Chloë; you can read the article in its entirety at our gallery. Below is an excerpt courtesy of Elle:
The problem with being a style icon, part one: your look gets ripped off. ‘A few years ago I started wearing these white Ray-Ban Wayfarers that my mother found at a flea market in Connecticut,’ says Chloë Sevigny. ‘I loved them and wore them every day. But I was constantly made fun of by all the tabloids, attacked over and over again. It got to the point where my publicist and my agent had this conference call with me – yes, a conference call – and said, “Chloë, we know you really like those sunglasses but people are taking the piss out of you so much that we have to advise you to stop wearing them.” I was, like, OK fine, I’m sick of them anyway. But then the next summer those white Ray-Bans were everywhere! You could not escape them. Mary-Kate Olsen wore them and it was, like, “Mary-Kate starts a new trend.” I never got any credit! I’m so off the radar!’ She bursts into laughter – and what a magnificent laugh she has, kind of like an asthmatic donkey. She takes a sip of green tea and reconsiders. ‘Well, I think I am on the radar for style-setters. And then it trickles down from what they do.’
I don’t know about you, but I will snatch this issue off the shelf as soon as I find it. Meanwhile, enjoy the below scans of Elle magazine’s Chloë spread.

Apologies for the few days’ delay, I just returned from out of town. However, as expected, Chloë attended the BlackBook ‘Hollywood’ issue celebration in Beverly Hills on Tuesday. Once again, photos are regrettably scarce, but here’s to hoping more will surface soon. Meanwhile, enjoy the 6 MQ photos I was able to find at this point. And for the record, Chloë looked gorgeous!
I would also like to warn everyone that the gallery will most likely be going down sometime next week, when I set up the new gallery, which will have tons (and I do mean, tons) of new photo additions. The downtime will take a few days. Stay tuned.

Although IMDb doesn’t currently list any upcoming projects for Chloë, it isn’t to say she doesn’t have any. Some of you will perhaps recall how we in September reported of an untitled Nick Cannon (short) film – now titled The Killing Room – that was to shoot in Louisiana at the end of October 2007. Well, although IMDb makes no mention of this project in Chloë’s filmography, Cannon, one of the film’s stars, recently confirmed her participation in the film in an interview with MTV. From MTV.com:
MTV: What’s next for you?
Cannon: So many things. … Film-wise, I just finished a film called The Killing Room, with Chloë Sevigny and Timothy Hutton. That’s a project I wanted to sink my teeth into.
MTV: I heard about that. It sounds like Saw but with a government conspiracy.
Cannon: Yeah! It has a Saw feel, but I’d say it’s a little more complex than that. It has a secret government background. But realistically, it’s four actors in one room just bouncing off each other, and it’s amazing. It’s method-style [acting], one room, theatrical, and it’s something you haven’t seen in a very long time.
The film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman, and also co-stars Clea DuVall, Peter Stormare and Timothy Hutton. The film’s IMDb page makes no mention of the film being a drama short, which would imply that The Killing Room is a full feature film after all. No release date(s) have yet been set for the film except that it will be out sometime in 2008. Although the film is categorized under “drama/thriller”, judging by the film’s name (as well as earlier title, Manbreak) and Cannon’s Saw comparison, I am expecting at least some gore and horror.
I’ll keep you posted in case any more information on this project of Chloë’s turns up!

I just discovered Entertainment Weekly picked Zodiac as the 10th Best Film of 2007 in their December 28 2007 issue. From Rose-McGowan.com:
Drawn, with meticulous precision, from the actual case files, and shot under dank fluorescence, David Fincher’s raptly unsettling docudrama about the hunt for the San Fransisco serial killer is a journalistic procedural mystery in the tradition of All the President’s Men. Yet it’s also an investigation into the obsessive addiction of mystery itself. The killer creates a reign of terror metaphorically evocative of the one we’re in now, and as the case gets bounced from one precinct to the next, finally landing in the hands of a cartoonist and amateur sleuth (Jake Gyllenhaal, in an underrated performance), we’re trapped in his desire to look the monster in the face – and, more impossibly, to make the monster go away.

Ohmigosh! Strap yourselves onto something, because Chloë is featured on the cover of the February 2008 issue of BlackBook in an absolutely gorgeous new photoshoot! I will scan the issue for HQs as soon as it reaches my country, meanwhile check out these previews I was able to find online.
BlackBookMag.com have also posted an online version of the interview, in which she discusses style, hew new clothing line, living in Hollywood, potato bugs (!) and Big Love. Although what’s on the table may sound rather ordinary, it’s an awesome interview – one of her best, I daresay – and to prove it, here’s an excerpt courtesy of BlackBookMag.com:
BB: Unacceptable.
CS: Unacceptable. One night I found this… thing. It was in the bathroom, which is downstairs [it’s a two-story house], and it was… it was like something from a David Cronenberg movie, and huge—huge! Or, I thought, maybe an alien had stopped in, and then gone into my bathroom to have a miscarriage. It’s probably not something you say in an interview, or maybe ever, because it’s incredibly embarrassing—but it’s pretty funny, so I will. I was so, so scared, I mean utterly terrified, that even after it was gone, for so long I wouldn’t go in there, and in the middle of the night, rather than risk it, I would pee off my upstairs porch. Turned out it’s called a potato bug. It’s the size of my fucking… hand.
BB: The potato bug is a goddamn nightmare.
CS: They just gave me a raise on the show, and my mother says, “You have to treat yourself.” You know, as mothers do.
Awesome? Awesome. Read the interview in its entirety at BlackBookMag.com. Below is a preview of the upcoming BlackBook issue cover and photoshoot. Scans will be added as soon as possible.
